Amsterdam Has(h) It.

Sorry mom, for the "inappropriate" title of this post, but I can't help it if it's really true. There is lots and lots of weed in Amsterdam, what can I say? And of course Nabila and I couldn't go to the city famous for this without checking out the scene a bit....

Even the official tourist website for Amsterdam has a whole page about it's marijuana scene, even advising you to not smoke a strong joint you're first night there. Check it out: http://www.amsterdam.info/coffeeshops/

"One very important thing to remember is that hash and marijuana available in Amsterdam's coffeeshops is likely to be much stronger than most visitors to the city are used to. It's advisable not to choose the strongest thing on the menu, as what is good for inveterate smokers could prove too much for those new to the city, and may even ruin your night.

For the same reason, it is a good idea to stay clear of pre-rolled joints and 'space cakes' if you are unsure as to your tolerance. The amount of cannabis they contain varies and can often be quite a lot. A good rule of thumb is: if you're unsure, ask the staff - they will usually be happy to offer advice and recommend something that will suit."

Can't say I've ever seen this kind of menu offer on a cafe window...



As it got darker outside, things started to get more and more wild. You would be standing inside a store or cafe and then suddenly an unbelievable BANG would go off right outside the window, and everyone in the place would jump.
